How Are Cases Funded?
Police Station Funding
Everyone who is detained at the Police station or invited for interview as a volunteer has a right to free legal advice during their detention at the Police station regardless of income or status. Anyone who is interviewed at the Police station can request a solicitor of their choice to attend at the Police station to represent them under the legal aid scheme.
Some of our clients require greater assistance and/or support and choose to pay privately for our attendance at the police station and for our advice pending any criminal charge.
Should you wish to instruct someone at Partner/Director level privately, we charge a fixed fee of £500 plus VAT to cover any London based police station for an interview under caution.
Our legal team are also able to provide practical advice and support during this difficult time. If appropriate, we can make written representations to the police on your behalf. Our fee’s in this regard range from £150 to £300 excluding VAT depending on the experience of the representative.
