Ravinder Saimbhi joined Langfield Law having developed her advocacy skills on a solid foundation of litigation gained over 19 years experience.

Ravinder has significant trial experience and is well recognised as a respected and diligent advocate. She has an impressive portfolio of cases across a broad range of every aspect of criminal law and an excellent track record of achieving successful outcomes for her clients. Ravinder can be relied upon to fight every clients case with commitment, passion and integrity.She has successfully represented clients in matters including murder, dishonesty offences, all levels of assault, public order as well as road traffic matters. Ravinder has a particular specialism in cases of rape and serious sexual assaults.

Notable Cases

R v DM – Successfully defended a man charged with 5 counts of rape and a number of assaults against his wife. The defendant asserted that he had not committed these acts that she was not telling the truth. The trial lasted 6 days and involved expert cross-examination of the complainant over video link and a medical expert.
R v DS – Successfully represented a man charged with an affray on a night bus involving the use of a bottle on another. The prosecution case relied heavily on CCTV from the bus which showed an incident had occurred. His case was argued and won on the basis of self defence.
R v TR – Represented a woman charged with theft from her employers involving a defence based on false allegations and evidence having been set up around her.
R v AGG – Represented first of 3 young men accused of Possession of drugs with an intention to supply them. Case included arguments and submission relating to large quantities of telephone evidence.
R v HF – Successfully represented defendant accused by his mother of breaching restraining orders and committing offences against her.
R v TB – Successfully persuading the Prosecution in a case where the defendant was accused of a robbery, to accept a plea to an assault on a limited basis, resulting in a community order that required a simple condition of residence for 6 months.
Appeal of NZ – Successfully arguing grounds for a reduction of sentence in a case involving the alleged targeted pickpocketing of tourists in London
